Many contractors have different ways to bid on a project. Our panel of long time RERA members will share information on their process of bidding on a project and calculating the time & materials.
Learn the different parts of the profit margin and which is the most important. They will do a Q & A on how to negotiate with the customer so you can still get the job.

Vehicles are insured on a Personal Auto Policy rather than a Commercial Auto Policy
- A Commercial Auto policy can provide several additional but important coverage’s that a Personal Auto Policy does not provide.
- One of the most important is the maximum Auto Liability limits available will be higher than on a Personal Auto Policy.
Policy does not include physical damage coverage for aftermarket upgrades made to vehicle
- In most cases vehicles themselves are insured for the value to replace them with vehicles in the same quality and condition. This would be the policies Collision and Comprehensive coverage’s.
- If you make any additional upgrades, such as aftermarket toolboxes, trailer hitches, lumber racks, camper shells, etc, those need to be added by endorsement to be included for coverage.
Policy missing “Non Owned and Hired Auto” coverage
- This important coverage provides Auto Liability coverage to protect the company from claims resulting from use of “Non Owned” vehicles, example, those vehicles owned by your employees while used in the course of business, or “Hired” vehicles, example, you rent a truck from a rental yard for the day.
The above 3 coverage’s are important to keep in mind when you review your Auto Insurance program. If you have any questions, thoughts or comments, don’t hesitate to contact me at (707) 537-8848.

Charlie's Restaurant
Description:
Solar Photovoltaic Systems: A Whole House Overview
A well engineered solar system doesn’t mean loading up a south-facing roof with as many panels as will fit. Responsible companies will begin with an analysis of the client’s utility bill, look for ways to reduce usage, examine roof orientation and shading, consider which components to employ, how to make use of the various incentives available, etc.
The RERA Professional Education Committee is very pleased to offer an evening with Keith Kruetzfeldt owner of Solar Universe of Santa Rosa. Keith has been involved in the design, finance and install of over 100 Solar Electric systems in the North Bay. He also has a Masters in Mechanical Engineering from UC Davis. This will be a great opportunity to get an in-depth overview on solar PV and ask technical and financial questions.
Come join us for a lively and informative evening, and catch up with old friends and make a few new ones.
